About Your Local Pantry

The first pantry was open in Rochdale by a group of women in Kirkholt in 2016. This model was then replicated by other groups in the borough. Your Local Pantry is a membership-based organisation and are volunteer-led – meaning they are operated by local people for local people.

How much does it cost?

  • Kirkholt Pantry: £4.00
  • Freehold Pantry: £4.00
  • Smallbridge Pantry: £4.00
  • Heywood Pantry: £5.00

Prices are set by local volunteers in consultation with their pantry members - each pantry has a different offer to meet local needs.

When is it open?

The pantries are open once a week on a Thursday from 10am to 12pm.

Who can join the Local Pantry?

There are NO vouchers, referrals, or means-tested applications, so as long you are a resident of Kirkholt, Smallbridge, Heywood or Freehold you are eligible to join.

To join the food pantry, fill out a short enquiry form and we will get in touch with as soon as possible.
