manner. It is a free service and can deal with complaints about
energy companies that are involved in providing gas and/or
electricity to your home.

Consumer Focus
Consumer Focus was created through the merger of three consumer
organisations – energy watch, Post watch and the National Consumer
Council They administer the confidence code – approving companies
that provide price comparison services both via the internet and on
the telephone.

Consumer Direct
Consumer Direct is the national consumer advocate offering free
information and advice on consumer issues. They provide practical
and impartial advice to help with consumer complaints and
disagreements with suppliers of goods or service, including how to
switch supplier

Ofgem
The industry regulator was set up by an Act of Parliament to
ensure that competition in the market works for consumers. It also
regulates the companies that run the pipes and wire that supply gas
and electricity. It has a social and environmental role such as
helping the industry address issues like climate change and fuel
poverty.
