What is it?
There are two types of Pension Credit; Guarantee Credit and
Savings Credit. Guarantee Credit is an entitlement for people
aged 60 and Savings Credit is for people aged 65 and
over.
Who is eligible?
- Guarantee Credit guarantees everyone living in the United
Kingdom aged 60 and over a minimum weekly Income by topping up your
weekly income.
- You can apply up to four months before the date from, which you
want to start getting Pension Credit
How much will I get?
If you or if you have a partner is 60 or over, then the amount
of Guarantee Credit is:
- £132.60 per week, if your are single
- £202.40 per week, if you have a partner
- These amounts may be more if you are disabled or have caring
responsibilities
- Your entitlement to Pension Credit will be affected by how much
income you have.
