leasehold properties. As a leaseholder it is very important
that you read and understand exactly what is required of you.
The leaseholders’ handbook was published in 2010 and helps you
understand your rights and responsibilities under the terms of the
lease you have purchased. It will also explain RBH’s role in
managing your home.

Service Charge Payments
A service charge is a payment you make towards the cost of
providing and maintaining services for the development you live in.
A guide to service charges can be found here.
There are a number of way you can pay your service charge:
- By direct debit ( if you choose to pay by this method, you will
receive a discount on your service charge of £10 each year ).
- By standing order
- By cheque
- Telephone payment by debit/credit card
- Via the internet (click
here to pay online)
Insurance
RBH insures the building where you live. This is because RBH
is still responsible for the upkeep, repairs and maintenance of the
structure and communal areas of the building. For further
details, please see page 16 of the leaseholders’ handbook.
