Following Following the transfer of over 13,600 homes from
Rochdale Borough Council to RBH we are well on the way to becoming
the largest housing mutual. The new mutual RBH will be co-owned by
tenant and employee members and will be managed
along similar principles as a cooperative.
As a result a Representative
Body has been elected by Members
as the new democratic governance structure.
Non-executive Directors, to serve on the new RBH Board, will be
appointed in the winter.

The Representative Body will
eventually consist of: -
- 15 tenants and 8 employees.
- One tenant nominated from each of the three
Tenant Management Organisations.
- Two appointees from Rochdale Borough
Council
- Three appointees from external stakeholder
organisations
The Representative Body will help to set
policies - giving advice and support to the Board of Directors to
ensure that services delivered best meet the needs of RBH tenants
and communities.
