Our responsibilities
We have the following responsibilities under the tenancy agreement:
- To advise you on your rights and responsibilities
as a tenant
- To give you up to date information
- To make decisions if you ask to change your tenancy
- To take action against anyone who breaks their conditions of tenancy
- To only take legal action on severe or persistent breaks to tenancy
conditions
- To provide a written explanation of any action taken
- To keep your home in good repair
Your responsibilities
You have the following responsibilities under the tenancy agreement;
- To let us know of any changes in your circumstances
that may affect your tenancy
- To let us know if you will be away from your
home for more than four weeks
- Get our written permission if you want to sublet
part of your homes
- Get our written permission if you want to improve
or change your home
- Not run a business from your home
- Not cause a nuisance or harassment to your neighbour
Your rights
As a secure tenant you may be entitled to:
- Pass your tenancy onto someone else after you die
- Take a lodger in
- Be consulted
- By your home
- Improve your home
- Receive compensation for some improvements when you leave
- Exchange your home
