The Help Desk

The help desk is available to answer all your queries.  You can ring the help desk between 9am and 5pm Monday to Friday on 0845 123 5627. 

All calls are logged and monitored.

Emergency out of hours

In the event of an emergency occurring out of office hours please call 0845 076 3636

Your Development Officer

Development Officers are the first point of contact for tenants and Tenants and Residents Associations.  They are responsible for talking to you about the work to your home on a one to one basis.  They will:

  • Provide you with an information pack.
  • Arrange open days and estate surgeries.
  • Record your choice of kitchen, bathroom and fire where appropriate.
  • Be your first point of contact throughout the work.
  • Talk to the contractor about any issues you have with the work and work with you to sort them out.

If you have any concerns or questions about any aspect of the work being done to your home please contact your Development officer (listed below) or call the help desk on 0845 123 5627. Please make sure you report any problems as soon as possible no matter how small. If we don’t know about it, we can’t sort it out.

Your Surveyor

Your surveyor is responsible for ensuring that the works are carried out to the specification provided to the contractors, to the required standard and within specified time periods.

You can contact your Surveyor by calling the help desk on 0845 123 5627 or using the e-mail links below. Surveyors for the areas where work is planned for 2006/07 are:

Your Senior Development Officer

If you are unable to resolve any problems you may have you should contact the Senior Development Officer, Phil Cole.  You can contact him by calling the help desk on 0845 123 5627 or by e-mail to phil.cole@rbhousing.org.uk 

How to identify us

For your safety everyone who calls at your home who is working on the Planned Maintenance Programme will be wearing identity badges bearing their photographs and telephone number in case you want to verify someone’s identity. Additionally, all surveyors and operatives will be wearing a flourescent orange vest bearing the contractor’s logo.

If you have any doubts about a caller’s identity you should ask for and double-check their identity badge. If you are still unsure DON’T let them in, ring your Development Officer (link) if you have any queries about a caller’s identify.

Make a Complaint

If the above members of staff are unable to resolve any issues to your satisfaction you can make a complaint.

Tenants and Residents Associations

Development Officers are working closely with Tenants and Residents Associations consulting on the proposed works and organising open days and estate surgeries.  You can contact your local Tenants and Residents Association to discuss any aspect of the works.

If there is not a Tenants and Residents Association in your area please contact the Tenant Participation Unit on (01706) 273820 and they will put you in contact with your Area Board representative.
