Decorating allowances will be paid to you only if there is damage to your decorating caused by works carried out as part of the Planned Maintenance programme. To provide some help towards the costs of redecorating you will be given vouchers that can be used at several local suppliers of decorating materials. Details of suppliers are also shown below.

Once works have been completed, we will assess the level of vouchers to be paid.

As a general guide, the following table shows the maximum amounts that may be paid:

There is only one allowance per room (within a 12 month period). For example, if your home is completely rewired, storage heaters installed and the bathroom suite was replaced, the payment for the bathroom would be £52  (not £52 plus £16 plus £42).

Your Development Officer will make the final assessment of the amount of vouchers that you will receive when the work is completed and the property is ‘handed back’.

If your rent account is not up to date, then your decoration allowance will be credited to your rent account.
