Tenant Participation Compact - One-Off Tenant Participation Grants Criteria
1. The grant must be used by the group for the purpose for which it is approved. The grant cannot be claimed for items which have already been bought or for work which has already been carried out.
2. Where funding is available from other sources any One-off Tenant Participation grant provided will be reduced accordingly.
3. The group must keep full financial records of how the grant has been spent. This must include evidence such as relevant invoices, receipts, delivery notes, completion notices etc. The group must prepare and submit to the Principal Housing Manager a completed statement of accounts form and details within three months at the end of the project.
4. It is a condition of acceptance of the grant that the group must ensure that all necessary insurances are also obtained.
5. The group must notify the Principal Housing Manager in writing about any proposed action different to the terms and conditions outlined on this form and must receive his/her written agreement before going ahead. This decision will be delegated / referred to Chair and / or Vice Chair of the Board as appropriate.
6. The group must also notify the Principal Housing Manager of the disposal of any items acquired with the grant, who will consult with Chair / Vice Chair within the time limit agreed when accepting the grant.
7. RBH reserve the right to reclaim all or part of the grant money or items acquired with it, if terms and conditions are not adhered to by the group.
8. RBH accepts no liability for use of the grant money, which is undertaken at the group’s risk.
9. Groups are required to attend the relevant Board meeting at which the application is being considered to support their request.
10. Area Boards reserve the right to limit grants to £500.00 per application.
11. Social functions will be funded to a maximum of 50%.
12. Any tenants and residents association can apply. However other community and voluntary groups need to apply through their local recognised tenants association. For further details, advice and help with form filling, please contact your local tenant participation officer at:

13.Completed forms must be returned to the relevant Principal Housing Manager before the relevant Area Board meeting. Grants are usually allocated by the third series (of 4) Area Board meetings.
14. All groups must submit a short project evaluation within three months including:
- Project name
- Details of how the grant has been spent
- Whether the project has been successful and if so how
- Who has been included in the project.
