Estate inspections are an opportunity for you to join our staff to check on the condition of our estates, looking at how clean and tidy they are and identifying environmental and other concerns that affect tenants and residents living in the area. The inspections are fairly informal. They involve the Housing Officer, Caretaker, tenants and other people and organisations who have an interest in the area such as Ward Councillors, Police Community Support Officers and representatives from Council service providers such as Environmental Management. Estate inspections are designed to give tenants a chance to identify issues that affect the area where they live and to have a say about how these should be addressed. They are an opportunity to meet your Housing Officer and some of the other partners who provide services on your estate and discuss your ideas. Inspections take place in every area/estate four times a year. Their success depends on as many people as possible turning up so we would encourage anyone who has not been to one yet to give it a go. To find out more about joining your local inspection contact your Housing Officer and see the schedule (38kb pdf) to find out when your next inspection is taking place. |
