Getting Involved
There are lots of different ways you can get involved with
RBH.
Membership
RBH is the UK’s first tenant and employee co-owned mutual
landlord. Being a Member of the new mutual RBH provides a
brand new way in which our tenants and employees can contribute to
the success of RBH and our communities by working together for the
benefit of all. Membership will give you a voice with the right to
receive information, have representation on and stand for election
to the Representative Body. It gives you a vote to have a real
influence on how RBH is run. As a member you can choose a level of
involvement to suit you. You might just want to be kept up to date
with what’s going on, vote for your representatives and take
advantage of the Member benefits that will be developed. Or, you
can choose to be more involved by attending and having your say and
voting at meetings. You might want to be involved in helping to
develop a package of Member benefits or specific activities in your
local community. You may also want to stand for election to the RBH

Customer Involvement
Other opportunities for customer involvement range from a five
minute telephone call to attending regular meetings. It can be a
one-off or involvement on a regular basis. This could mean
just being kept informed or attending consultation sessions and
focus groups on proposed changes. If customers wish, this
could also lead to being involved in making decisions about our
services.
By getting involved customers can:
- Give us their views on the services they receive
- Help us provide better quality customer-focused
services
- Be involved in housing decisions that affect them
- Develop their knowledge and skills through training and
support
- Help to develop sustainable communities

Volunteering
Rochdale Boroughwide Housing are now offering a wide variety of
volunteering opportunities. RBH is committed to promoting
volunteering as a positive and significant contribution to
improving the lives of individuals, as well as strengthening
communities.
