Work Life Balance

This is viewed as on of our most popular benefits by our employees.

RBH operates a work-life balance scheme which aims to give employees options that enable them to more easily combine work with other responsibilities and activities outside work, whilst meeting the needs of the organisation.

Employee Health Initiatives

We recognise that there will be times when our employees are not able to attend work due to sickness. If employees are unable to attand work due to sickness, they contact First Care, a confidential professional health advice and absence recording service with 24 hour access to speak to qualified medical staff for advice. Many employees find this very useful.

All employees are given membership to Westfield Healthcare, an award winning, not for profit health insurance provider including:

  •           A level of reimbursements for medical optical and dental costs
  •           Access to 24-hour counselling and advice line
  •           Priority access to MRI, CT and PET scans

We work in partnership with Rochdale Councils Link 4 Life scheme which regularly offers various sporting activities and inter-departmental competitions. We have our very own RBH football team.

We also have a programme of other ad hoc health initiatives e.g. health checks, flu jabs, health awareness week, health walks etc

Gift  vouchers are awarded for a full 12 months attendance at work during April – March each year.

Personal Development Agreement

RBH is accredited as an “Investors in People” employer which means that the company recognises the need to develop skills, knowledge and understanding to ensure employees work as effectively as possible

Each year every employee meets with their manager to discuss and agree any personal development opportunities.

Employee development can range from internal and external training courses, seminars, conferences, job shadowing and a whole variety of other opportunities. We also support Post Entry Training Facilities for relevant qualification courses.
