About Us
Rochdale Boroughwide Housing (RBH) is a not for
profit company which is responsible for managing council homes on
behalf of Rochdale Council. In November 2011 RBH was registered
with the Financial Services Authority as a charitable industrial
& provident society.
The company manages around 13,800 properties and provides all
the landlord services to these properties.
Rochdale Boroughwide Housing is:
- A forward thinking and dynamic housing organisation.
- An arms-length management organisation (ALMO), working in
partnership with Rochdale Council.
- Responsible for managing around 13,800 council homes across the
Borough.
- Run by a board of directors comprising six elected tenant
members, four council members and three independent advisors.
- Open, inclusive and friendly - involving customers in all we
do.
What does RBH do?
- Manages Rochdale Council's housing stock.
- Maintains homes at the Government's Decent Standard and
improves on this standard where possible.
- Builds new homes to meet local housing need through its
charitable subsidiary, Brighter Horizons.
- Helps achieve the aims of the Local Strategic Partnership.
- Delivers a targeted and customer-focused programme of
environmental works on our estates.
- Works actively against anti-social behaviour, financial
exclusion and to improve the quality of life in the borough.
- Markets its specialist knowledge/services to external
customers.
- Acts as an exemplar provider of housing services in the
sector.
