Equality and Diversity Policy - Employment
To ensure that the talents and resources of employees are utilised to the full and that no job applicant or employee receives less favourable treatment on the grounds within the Policy Statement, RBH will:
- Publish a clear statement of its commitment to provide equality and diversity in employment
- Appoint a senior member of staff to be responsible for implementation of its policy
- Ensure all employees and job applicants are made aware of the policy
- Provide all managers with training and guidance on the law and the Company policy on avoiding discrimination and promoting equal opportunities
- Set targets for the employment of ethnic minority and disabled staff to match local population indicators
- Undertake comprehensive monitoring of all applications for employment and workforce auditing of employees
- Provide training opportunities to enable groups who are under represented at senior level to obtain the skills to allow them to gain access to promotion opportunities
- Review and evaluate the policy at regular intervals
- Take positive steps to encourage applicants from under represented groups to apply for all advertised vacancies, training and secondment opportunities
- Investigate all reports of discrimination in accordance with established procedures
- Follow the Fair Recruitment and Selection Policy in the recruitment of staff and regularly review the policy to ensure it continues to meet the requirements of the Equality and Diversity Policy
