Area Panels

There are four area panels covering the following areas: Heywood, Middleton, Pennines and Rochdale.

Everyone who lives on or near a Rochdale Council estates is welcome to attend, whether you are a tenant, owner occupier or leaseholder.

Area Panels provide you with the opportunity to be involved in:

Helping us to deliver housing services that meet the needs of local people.
Having your say on issues that affect your area.
Deciding the programme of estate environmental improvements.
Approving grants for activities and initiatives put forward by tenants and residents associations.

This page tells you when the next meetings will take place, who to contact for more information and you can view the notes of previous meetings. You can also fill in the online form to ask the Area Panel to add an item to the agenda at either their next or at a later meeting.

Heywood Area Panel

The next meeting of the Heywood Area Panel will be held between 10am and 12noon on Thursday 4th September 2008 in the conference room at the Magic Market. The main agenda item for this meeting will be deciding how the £70,000 environmental improvement quick-win budget for Heywood will be spent.

The next meeting of the Middleton Area Panel will be held between 6pm and 8pm on Monday 8th September 2008 at Middleton Civic Centre. The main agenda item for this meeting will be deciding how the £110,000 environmental improvement quick-win budget for Middleton will be spent.

Pennines Area Panel

The next meeting of the Pennines Area Panel will be held between 6pm and 8pm on Tuesday 2nd September 2008 at Butterworth Hall Milnrow. The main agenda item for this meeting will be deciding how the £127,480 environmental improvement quick-win budget for Penines will be spent.

The Pennines Area Panel covers Littleborough, Milnrow, Wardle, Newhey and eastern Rochdale i.e, Ashbrook Hey, Bentgate, Birch Road, Birch View, Bramall Close, Calderbrook, Firgrove, Haugh, Hollingworth Lake, Holt, Shore, Smallbridge, Smithybridge, Stansfield, The Cray, Wardle, West View and Weston Street.

Meetings of the Panel rotate round the following venues: Littleborough Community Campus, Butterworth Hall in Milnrow and Meadowfield Community Centre on Belfield.

The next meeting of the Rochdale Area Panel will be held between 6pm and 8pm on Thursday 11th September 2008 in the reception room at Rochdale Town Hall. The main agenda item for this meeting will be deciding how the £303,000 environmental improvement quick-win budget for Rochdale will be spent.

Requests will be considered by the Chair and Vice Chair. We will notify you at least 5 days before the meeting to let you know whether your item will be included on the agenda.
If your item is added to the agenda you MUST be present at the meeting. If you do not attend, the item will not be discussed.
If your item is not added to the agenda, the Panel will consider including the item on the agenda for a future meeting. (At the beginning of each meeting the Area Panel set the agenda for the next meeting. Your request will be considered during this item and we will email you to let you know the outcome).

At the beginning of each meeting the Area Panel set the agenda for the next meeting. Your request will be considered during this item. You should attend the meeting if possible but if you can’t attend we will email you to let you know which meeting your item will be discussed at.
You MUST attend the later meeting when your agenda item is discussed. If you do not attend your item will not be discussed.
